More information to follow

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome to the Thunder Bay Anglican Deanery Website. We trust you will find this informative, helpful and encouraging.

The Deanery of Thunder Bay includes the Anglican parishes from Marathon on the east to Rosslyn Village and Murillo on the west and is the western end of the Diocese of Algoma of the Anglican Church of Canada. The Diocese of Algoma is centered in Sault Ste. Marie where our Bishop The Rt. Revd. Dr. Stephen Andrews and our Cathedral, St. Luke’s, are located.

You will find a list of all the parishes and congregations in our Deanery with links to the websites of those parishes that have them. You will also find information about activities and programs in the Deanery and information about our Anglican expression of the Christian faith with links to other Anglican websites.

If you are searching, interested in exploring the Christian faith or looking for a church family, check the information and better yet, why not join one of our congregations for worship on a Sunday morning. You will receive a warm welcome.

Yours in Christ,

Andrew Hoskin †
Archdeacon of Thunder Bay

The Deanery of Thunder Bay
The Deanery is located in the most westerly portion of the Diocese of Algoma, covering an area bordered on the west by the Parish of West Thunder Bay and by The Church of the Holy Spirit, Manitouwadge, in the east. The deanery of Thunder Bay and its history has been largely determined by the development of the fur trade and transportation industry.
